The Security Belt forces in the Al-Husseini sector in Lahj Governorate were able to thwart the smuggling of drone engines into areas controlled by the Houthi militia.
According to a statement issued by Lahj Belt Operations, the operation took place early this morning, after receiving reports from its members deployed at the entrances and exits of the valley of the presence of three “Shas” type cars with loads on board. They took the Wadi Al-Husseini road coming from the Ras area. Shame, despite the dangers of the road during the torrential rainy season.
The statement explained that Al-Hizam patrols moved towards the valley, and were able to seize the three cars and find out their cargo, which was motorcycle engines smuggled into areas controlled by the Houthi militia.
The statement indicated that these engines are used in the manufacture of drones that the Houthis use to target civilians and civilian objects.
The Security Belt Command in Lahj praised the efforts of Al-Husseini Point in thwarting the smuggling operation, stressing that it will take legal measures and refer those involved to the competent authorities.
The Security Belt Command called on citizens to cooperate with the security forces and report the movements of smugglers and their areas of presence so that they can arrest them and prevent smuggling operations
