Commissioned by the Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Abdul Rahman Abu Zaraa Al-Muharrami, the project monitoring and follow-up team, Monday morning, made a field trip to the site of the solar energy station, in the Bir Ahmed area in the capital, Aden, to review the progress of the final stage of installing solar panels. For the project.
During the visit, in which he was accompanied by a team from the General Electricity Corporation of Aden, the project follow-up team in the office of Representative Al-Muharrami heard from the representative of the Austrian consulting company that is implementing the project, Mr. David, the project site managers, Engineer Munir Al-Arouni, and Engineer Sami Al-Ghouri, the executive director of the project. , to a detailed explanation of the stages of completion, and the difficulties that accompany the progress of the project.
The project site director, Engineer Mounir Al-Arouni, confirmed the completion of the basic installation stages of the metal structure of the solar cells and the electricity cables, and the start of the station’s inspections stage, indicating that all installation work will be completed by the end of this January.
With regard to the quality of work, Al-Arouni reiterated that all work is carried out at a high level of quality control, in coordination with the consultant supervising the project, in addition to taking into account occupational safety standards.
In turn, the Executive Director of the project, Eng. Sami Al-Ghouri, the arrival of some transformers and devices to the port of Aden that were scheduled to arrive last December was delayed until the end of this January, due to the recent Houthi threats that affected international shipping traffic in the Red Sea.
With regard to the stages of the project and what has been accomplished so far, Al-Ghouri explained that the project included the stage of studies and designs, then installation and supply work, followed by inspection work and preparation for final delivery, noting that the stage of installation and delivery of concrete bases is scheduled to end on January 24, The duration of the third phase takes 45 days from the start of work.
After that, the monitoring team in the office of MP Al-Muharrami toured the site of the station, which is built on a total area of 1.6 million square metres, expressing his satisfaction with the high pace of work and installation of photovoltaic panels he witnessed following the completion of the foundation and foundation work for the panels and conversion stations.
At the conclusion of the visit, Engineer Jalal Nasher, a member of the field team at the General Electricity Corporation, appreciated the efforts and keenness of Representative Abu Zaraa Al-Muharrami to complete this project, and his continued interest in various service and strategic projects, pointing out that his continuous follow-up of the progress of the work of the solar energy station has contributed to Completing it according to the required format and time specified for the program.
It is worth noting that the visit of the team from the Office of the Representative Al-Muharrami to the site of the solar energy station comes within a field trip program that the team has implemented since the beginning of the project. With the aim of following up and supervising the progress of work, within the framework of interest and keenness to complete it on the specified date, and not to procrastinate in implementation.
