Bahrain welcomed the Kingdom’s efforts to invite a delegation from Sana’a to visit Riyadh to complete meetings and discussions in coordination with the Sultanate of Oman towards a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire in Yemen, strengthen the humanitarian truce, and discuss reaching a sustainable political solution acceptable to all Yemeni parties under the auspices of the United Nations.

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated in a statement Manama’s position in support of the Saudi initiative announced in March 2021 to end the Yemeni crisis through a comprehensive peace settlement in accordance with the terms of reference of the Gulf initiative, its implementation mechanism, the outcomes of the comprehensive national dialogue, and Security Council Resolution No. 2216.

The Ministry appreciated the good efforts to achieve the aspirations of the Yemeni people to preserve their unity and territorial integrity and restore security, stability, peace and prosperity for the benefit of Yemen and all the peoples of the region.
