Presidency of the Transitional Council: The Houthi escalation reflects a determination to obstruct peace

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, in its regular meeting today, Thursday, headed by Ali Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Council, discussed military developments on the confrontation fronts with the Iranian-backed Houthi militia on the Bayhan front, located west of Shabwa Governorate.
He praised the heroism of the Southern Armed Forces in confronting the Houthi terrorist attacks, to deter the Iranian-backed militia’s attempts to infiltrate and advance, stressing that the Houthi escalation reflects the insistence on obstructing efforts to bring peace and the peace process.
She praised the organizational procedures for holding the meeting of the House of Commons, the first session of the Assembly for the year 2024, and the founding meeting of the Council of Advisors, calling for continuing to work at the same organizational level in upcoming events.
He appreciated the contents of the political speech of President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, Speaker of the Council, at the opening of the meeting of the House of Commons, noting that he defined the Council’s position on the peace process, its directions for dealing with it, and the directions of work of the Council’s leaders and cadres regarding the general situation, stressing the importance of foreign visits by the President of the Council, To meet with members of the international resolution, leaders and officials of the countries active in southern affairs and the region, to strengthen the position of the South and its role in the peace process.
The meeting of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council touched on the report of the Training and Qualification Authority on its performance for the second half of last year 2023, and its plans to enhance the capabilities of the Council’s cadres and members of civil society organizations.
