Official announcement...a deadline for pharmaceutical companies to improve their shipments in Aden

Today, a deadline was announced in the capital, Aden, for importing pharmaceutical companies, as part of efforts to improve the quality and safety of medicines in the region.
This announcement came during a high-level meeting, chaired by the Deputy Governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Badr Maoun, and in the presence of representatives of several relevant parties.
The Aden authorities have given importing companies a period of three months, until April 8, 2024, to improve the quality of shipments of imported medicines. These shipments must arrive in refrigerated containers to ensure that their quality and effectiveness are maintained.
It was confirmed that, as of April 8, 2024, strict measures will be taken against any truck arriving at the port of Aden carrying medicines without complying with the specified health standards.
The Deputy Governor of the capital, Aden, stressed the importance of improving the quality of medicines and complying with international standards to ensure the safety of consumers and protect public health.
The relevant authorities called on importing companies to comply with these procedures and adhere to the improvement period, in order to preserve the quality of health care and the safety of society.
Representatives of the Health Office, the Supreme Authority for Pharmaceuticals, the Free Zone Customs, the Industry and Trade Office, and the Deputy Director of Security of Aden Governorate participated in the meeting.
