A ministerial committee evaluates the extent of damage to the Military Museum in Aden

Today, Thursday, a committee from the Ministry of Defense made an inspection visit to the Military Museum in the capital, Aden, to see the extent of the damage it sustained during the Houthi war on the city of Aden.
The committee included the Commander of the Military Police, Major General Muhammad Saleh Al-Shaeri, the Deputy Head of the Logistical Support Authority, Major General Ali Mansour Al-Fadhli, and Major General Abdul Hakim Al-Shuaibi, Director of the Office of the Minister of Defense.
Major General Al-Shuaibi explained that the visit comes in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari, with the aim of examining the extent of the damage caused to the Military Museum as a result of the bombing of the Houthi coup militias during their war on the city of Aden, which affected many historical monuments and monuments.
Major General Al-Shuaibi indicated that the committee’s mission is to assess the damage, determine the museum’s needs, and submit a report to the Minister of Defense, who directed its rehabilitation and maintenance in coordination with the relevant authorities and opening its doors to visitors.
The committee called for encouraging citizens to take the initiative to hand over any collectibles or pieces belonging to the museum that were acquired during or after the war, as they are considered a cultural heritage that passes through generations and must be preserved.
The Military Museum in the city of Crater, which was founded in 1918 AD, is considered one of the most important historical monuments that the city abounds with. It includes eleven halls that are historically divided, containing within them more than 5 thousand artifacts, organized according to the historical and chronological sequence of historical facts and events. successive.
The ministerial committee was accompanied by Brigadier General Mohamed Awad, Director of the Office of the Deputy Chairman of the Logistics Support Authority.
