Under the slogan “2024 AD, the Year of Achievement,” the Union of Housing Associations in the capital, Aden, today, Sunday, handed over the first batch of land parcels to the members of the Technical Department (Workshop) Association, Aden Ports, under the patronage of the Governor of Aden and Minister of State, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas.

The handover ceremony was attended by the President of the Federation of Housing Associations, Jabal Radfan, the Deputy Executive Director of Ports, Gulf of Aden, Adel Muhammad Bahah, the Secretary-General of the Federation, Wajdi Al-Nakhai, and the Head of Supervision and Inspection of the Federation, Nasr Thabet.

The number of parcels distributed today reached 300 parcels, and they include the lands of association members who have waited more than 30 years to obtain them.

In his speech, the President of the Federation of Housing Associations, Jabal Radfan, praised everyone’s efforts to complete this project, which represents a dream for more than 300 families.

Radfan said: “Today we celebrate the delivery of the first batch of land parcels to members of the Aden Ports Technical Department Association, which is an important step towards realizing the dream of these families to obtain their own housing.”

He added: “We, as a union of housing associations, stand alongside all housing associations in Aden, and we are working to overcome all the difficulties they face in obtaining their rights.”

Jamal Saleh, Secretary-General of the Technical Department Association, expressed his thanks to the Federation of Housing Associations and its president, Jabal Radfan, for their efforts in returning the right to its owners.

Saleh said: “We extend our sincere thanks to the Federation of Housing Associations and its president, Jabal Radfan, for their great efforts in completing this project, which has been a dream of ours for more than 30 years.”

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the association honored the President of the Federation of Housing Associations, Jabal Radfan, the Secretary-General of the Federation, Wajdi Al-Nakhai, the Head of Supervision and Inspection of the Federation, Nasr Thabet, and a number of members of the Federation for their efforts in restoring the right to the association.
