The Tax Branch Office in Lahj Governorate announced today, Sunday, that it has achieved revenues of more than 5 billion riyals during the year 2023, an increase of 10% over the previous year.

The Director General of the Office, Anis Abdullah Darwish, explained that this increase is due to the efforts and follow-up by His Excellency Major General Ahmed Abdullah Turki, Governor of Lahj, and the efforts of the heads of the financial and administrative departments as well as the workers in increasing the revenue collection.

Darwish indicated that the revenue collection process witnessed increasing growth year after year, through the consistency of the office’s tax awareness of collection.

Darwish pointed out that there are some difficulties facing the office, including completing some of the furniture as well as the branches that must be available and created for the current year 2024.

Darwish thanked the head of the department, Dr. Jamal Sorour, for his follow-up and support of the Lahj Tax Office.
