Inauguration of the social cohesion workshop for the Community Peace Authority in the city of Mukalla

This morning, a social cohesion workshop was launched for the Community Peace Committee in the city of Mukalla, which is implemented by the National Democratic Institute (NDI), with funding from USAID.
The Chief Program Officer at the National Democratic Institute, Mr. Muhammad Al-Kathiri, in the presence of the Director General of the Mukalla City Directorate, Brigadier General Abdullah Salem Bayaashout, stressed the importance of enhancing the skills of the Community Peace Commission and providing them with knowledge aimed at enhancing social cohesion among members of society.
On the first day of the three-day training, members of the Commission learned about the concept and characteristics of social cohesion, its importance, goals and elements, in addition to a comparison between the targeted approach and the generalization approach and analysis of the context of social cohesion.
