A strike began in a number of public schools in Aden in protest against the non-payment of salaries

A number of government schools in Aden began a teaching strike, starting on Tuesday.
A number of government schools in the districts of Al-Mualla, Al-Mansoura, and Sheikh Othman closed their doors to the students and the teachers ordered them to leave.
The teachers said that they were demanding the payment of their salaries. It has been suspended for more than a month.
The strike in Al-Mualla District included Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, Hamza Abdul Muttalib, Ma’rib, Qatban and Awsan secondary schools.
To date, teachers have not received their salaries for the month of December due to the financial crisis that the government is suffering from.
The operation has been subjected to Education in Aden has undergone multiple suspensions over the past years.
