The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation meets with the Omani Minister of Economy and the Bahraini Minister of Finance

The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Badib, discussed today, Wednesday, with the Minister of Economy of the Sultanate of Oman, Said bin Muhammad Al-Saqri, aspects of bilateral cooperation between our country and the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, especially with regard to strengthening the joint technical committees between the two friendly countries, on the sidelines of the activities of the economic forum held. In the Swiss capital, Geneva.
The meeting discussed a number of topics and issues of common interest and challenges facing the Yemeni national economy with the continuing humanitarian crisis left by the war.
The two sides stressed the importance of unifying Arab and regional efforts in partnership with United Nations organizations and donor countries in order to provide and direct the necessary aid towards financing priority projects and programs that will achieve growth and economic recovery.
In a separate context, the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Badib, discussed today, with the Minister of Finance of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, ways to develop joint cooperation between Yemen and Bahrain.
The two sides discussed the efforts made to maintain financial stability and reduce the burden of the deficit in the state’s general budget.
The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation appreciated the sincere brotherly stances and continued support from the sister Kingdom of Bahrain to the legitimate government at various stages.
