Deaths and injuries in two separate explosions targeting southern forces in Abyan and Shabwa

Soldiers and civilians were killed and wounded today, Friday, by two separate explosions targeting military vehicles belonging to the southern armed forces in Abyan and Shabwa governorates.
According to military sources, an explosive device exploded in a military vehicle on a dirt road in the Al-Sadara area, east of Wadi Omran, in the Mudiya District of Abyan Governorate, killing three soldiers and wounding two others.
According to the sources, the soldiers who were killed in the explosion were: Muhammad al-Karbi, Faris al-Radfani, and Bilal al-Suwaini.
In another incident, two explosive devices exploded in a military vehicle belonging to the Shabwa Defense Forces, on the public road in Wadi Sa’ra in the Al-Musaina area, Upper Egypt Directorate.
According to Shabwa Defense Forces media, the explosion resulted in the death of a citizen and the injury of six others, including four soldiers of the First Brigade.
The southern forces in the Shabwa and Abyan governorates have been subjected to continuous bombings, ambushes and attacks, since they announced the launch of operations against elements belonging to Al-Qaeda in August 2022.
