France determines its position on Houthi crimes in the Red Sea

French President, Emmanuel Macron, said that the continued attacks by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia in the Red Sea and their threat to freedom of maritime navigation cannot be accepted.
Macron indicated that the French presence in the Red Sea is effective and takes place within a framework decided by France in a “sovereign” manner, referring to the military deployment to deter the Houthis and their attacks against ships.
The Iranian-backed militia continues to threaten commercial ships, maritime navigation, and shipping lines in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab with drones and anti-ship ballistic missiles.
