The Governor of Hadhramaut opens the military hospital in Mukalla

Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, Governor of Hadhramaut, today, Sunday, inaugurated the military hospital in Mukalla, the first of its kind within the governorate.
The hospital is located in the Khalaf area in Mukalla, and is considered a medical edifice, and its operation paves the way for a qualitative shift in medical services. Military, as a tributary to the health sector in Hadramaut.
It was equipped with funding from the local authority in the governorate and the leadership of the Second Military Region, on an area estimated at 2,800 square meters, and consists of two buildings, and a third on which work has not yet begun, with a completion rate of construction work amounting to 75% of the total. In the project, the hospital’s bed capacity will reach 50 beds, which can be increased in the coming stages.
The hospital’s main building includes two floors, the first containing emergency departments, outpatient clinics, and a continuing medical education department. It is expected that a third floor will be built in the future and allocated to the hospital’s administration departments.
The second building consists of three floors. The first floor includes the diagnostic unit with various types of laboratory and radiology departments, the second floor contains the admission and intensive care department, and the third floor contains the operations and special admission department, in addition to a third building attached to central warehouses for medical services, a laundry, and housing for staff and employees.
In its first phase, the hospital will begin providing its medical services, including emergency and clinics, free of charge to military patients from the Second Military District, the Public Security Forces and the police on the Hadhramaut coast, in addition to retired military personnel and the families of the martyrs and the wounded.
