The girl's father, Haneen Al-Bakri, reveals the latest developments in his murdered daughter's case

The father of the child Haneen al-Bakri, who was killed on the eve of Eid al-Adha in the Mansoura District in the capital, Aden, by Hussein Harhara, spoke about the latest developments in the case before the Supreme Court.
Ibrahim Al-Bakri said, “The person sentenced to death, H, H, will file a cassation appeal before the Supreme Court within sixty days from the date of issuance of the ruling, and that he will receive a copy of the appeal and will work to respond to it.”
He explained that “the petitions will be presented to the Supreme Court along with the file, and that the Criminal Department will meet and issue its decision to reject or accept the appeal.”
He confirmed that he hopes that the appeal will be rejected, and that the death sentence issued by the Court of First Instance and upheld by the Court of Appeal will be upheld.
Al-Bakri confirmed that “if the appeal is rejected, retribution will be carried out against the killer, and if it is accepted, the case will be reconsidered.”
The statements of the father of the child, Haneen, come after a long period of time without a decision in the case despite the recent ruling issued by the Sira Court of First Instance, which ruled that the perpetrator be executed by firing squad to death as legal retribution for his murder of the child, Haneen Al-Bakri, and the attempted murder of her sister, Rawiya.
