The Secretary-General of the Local Council in Abyan Governorate, Mahdi Al-Hamid, today, Monday, inaugurated the obstetric emergency and resuscitation department and the blood bank at Ahwar Rural Hospital, as part of the activities of the project to enhance access to integrated health and nutrition services in Ahwar District, which is implemented by the Field Medical Foundation with funding from the Support Fund. During the inauguration, Al-Hamid stressed that the opening of these departments constitutes a golden opportunity to improve medical services in the Ahwar District, enhance patient care and provide high-quality health care to the local community.

The Director General of the Public Health and Population Office in Abyan Governorate, Saleh Qasim Al-Tharm, confirmed that the field medical institution’s interventions at Ahwar Rural Hospital will contribute to providing a wide range of medical services, including performing caesarean sections and basic surgical operations.

The Director General of Ahwar District, Ahmed Mahdi Al-Awlaki, thanked the leadership of the local authority, the administration of the institution, and the Humanitarian Support Fund for their support and development of health services in Ahwar Hospital.
