A new statement from the Ministry of Finance regarding the disbursement of December and January salaries

The Ministry of Finance in the capital, Aden, announced today, Tuesday, the disbursement of salaries for the month of January 2024 to government employees in the central and local authorities.
The Ministry explained, in a press statement, that the disbursement of salaries comes after completing its financial procedures, and adding salary allocations to the 2024 budget, following the end of the fiscal year and the Central Bank of Yemen closing its accounts for the year 2023.
The Ministry confirmed that the process of disbursing salaries will take place within the next few days, according to the approved mechanism.
It called on government agencies to quickly raise salary entitlements for January 2024 with the required attachments, and to commit to attending on the days specified by the Ministry to complete the disbursement procedures.
The Ministry of Finance’s announcement of the disbursement of salaries comes amid government sector employees suffering from delayed disbursement of their salaries, due to the difficult economic conditions that the country is going through.
