This morning, Tuesday, September 19, 2023, a number of judges from the courts of Al-Dhalea Governorate issued a statement in which they announced the suspension of work in the courts in protest against the practices of the Commander of the Security Belt, Director of Al-Dhalea Security, Brigadier General Ahmed Qaid Al-Qubba, their practices that insult the judicial authority and obstruct the implementation of the laws.< /p>

The statement, which was appended by the signature of the heads of the courts and judges of Al-Dhalea, spoke about the intention of the commander of the security belt, the director of the governorate’s security, to break the rulings of the judiciary and to help some of those against whom rulings were issued to violate them and insult the judicial authority in a strange and deliberate act aimed at disrupting the work of the judiciary in the governorate.

The statement called on the Public Prosecutor and the Judicial Council to address the relevant authorities to oblige Brigadier General Al-Qubba to cooperate with the judiciary and implement the rulings applicable to the judiciary at its various levels. Because of its necessity to establish the foundations of stability and preserve the rights of people in Al-Dhalea districts.

The lengthy statement by the judges of Al-Dhalea referred to a number of practices that obstruct the efforts of the judiciary. They also appealed to the Attorney General and the responsible judicial and executive authorities to oblige the commander of the security belt in Al-Dhalea to quickly implement the judiciary’s rulings unless his arrest status is lifted.
