Aden.. The Minister of Defense directs to raise readiness to confront the Houthi escalation

The Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Muhammad Al-Daari, chaired today, Thursday, in the capital, Aden, an expanded meeting of heads of bodies, commanders of military regions, and directors of Ministry of Defense departments.
The meeting, which was attended via video communication technology by the Chief of the General Staff and Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Saghir bin Aziz, reviewed developments in the field situation, during which the military situation and brief reports on the work of the bodies and departments of the Ministry of Defense during the past year 2023 were reviewed.
The Minister of Defense stressed unifying efforts, mobilizing energies, and raising the pace of training and qualification in various fields, calling for raising readiness and preparing for any emergency in light of the escalation of the Houthi terrorist militia on more than one front.
Lieutenant General Al-Daari stressed the accuracy and speed in implementing the tasks assigned on the field and administratively, fulfilling the sacrifices of the martyrs and wounded of the armed forces, and making this file a priority for the new year 2024.
For his part, the Chief of the General Staff said that the new year will be a year of hard work, perseverance, unification and efforts to get rid of the terrorist Houthi militia supported by Iran, stressing the need to support the armed forces to complete the liberation of the country and return stability to the region.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Ahmed Al-Basr, Assistant Minister of Defense, Major General Saleh Muhammad Hassan, heads of agencies, commanders of military regions, directors of Ministry of Defense departments, and a number of military commanders.
