A large electricity deficit in Aden extends the hours of extinguishing for eight straight hours

Sources at the Aden Electricity Corporation announced today, Friday, that power outages have been scheduled for eight hours of shut-off, and only two hours of power on, starting at ten o’clock on Friday evening.
This came after the Aden Electricity Corporation was unable to provide the fuel necessary to operate its stations, due to the Yemeni government not playing its role in providing fossil fuels for Aden Electricity.
The sources explained that these outages are necessary to maintain the operation of power plants and prevent them from being damaged as a result of the low level of fuel.
The Electricity Authority is making every effort to provide the fuel necessary to operate its stations and increase the electrical current hours, but it needs the support of the Yemeni government in this aspect.
Aden has been witnessing frequent power outages for several months, due to the lack of fuel needed to operate power plants.
