Brigadier Abdullah Mahdi Saeed, Head of the Executive Body of the Southern Transitional Council in Al Dhalea, discussed with the International Red Cross team, headed by Freya Radi, Deputy Head of the Mission, today, Saturday, ways to support the field hospital in Hajar and health facilities in need of urgent intervention.
p>The Red Cross team reviewed its interventions during the new year, and its planned projects in the sectors of health, water, first aid and emergency training, and international and humanitarian law.
Brigadier General Mahdi urged redoubling efforts to support the governorate, led by the displaced, in the northwest of the governorate who are being subjected to artillery shelling from the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, calling for the provision of humanitarian aid to alleviate their living conditions.
He said that Al-Dhalea is going through extremely complex exceptional circumstances and is in dire need of providing the necessary support in various areas of living, appreciating the efforts of the Red Cross Organization in supporting the governorate.
In turn, the Deputy Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross’ delegation confirmed doubling the organization’s support for Al Dhalea Governorate and expanding the scope of its support in various service sectors, praising the role of the Council’s leadership in Al Dhalea in serving the people of the governorate.
