The launch of the activities of the first National Coffee Exhibition in Aden

Today, Saturday, the activities of the First National Coffee Exhibition were launched in the capital, Aden, organized by the Yafaa Foundation for Development in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries.
The exhibition, which lasts for three days with the participation of farmers from the governorates of Lahj, Abyan, Al-Dhalea and Taiz, as well as specialized companies and cafes, aims to introduce the importance of Yemeni coffee as an important economic resource, strengthen its position as one of the best types of coffee in the world, and encourage its cultivation again.
At the inauguration, which was attended by the Minister of Civil Service and Insurance, Dr. Abdel Nasser Al-Wali, the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al-Zaouri, the Governor of Lahj Governorate, Ahmed Turki, and a number of specialists in the relevant and interested parties, the Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries, Salem Abdullah Al-Soqatri, indicated, He stressed the importance of the exhibition, which aims to raise community awareness of the importance of the coffee crop, and direct all efforts towards paying attention to coffee cultivation, as it is an economic crop that expresses the popular and cultural heritage of Yemen, and as an important cash crop exported to all parts of the world, stressing that the Ministry is working to establish the National Coffee Center. , which will be a national platform for developing this crop.
For his part, the director of the exhibition, Executive Director of the Yafaa Development Foundation, Khaled Al-Hosni, confirmed that the primary goal of holding the exhibition is to introduce the importance of Yemeni coffee and enhance its position globally, and to create partnerships with the relevant authorities to enhance the production and marketing of coffee, and to promote it locally and globally. And supporting Yemeni farmers in growing and producing coffee.
