Yemen Mobile employees sell active users' phone numbers

Journalist Yacoub Al-Sufyani accused employees of Yemen Mobile Company in Sanaa of selling the phone numbers of active users.
Al-Sufyani said from his sources on his Facebook page that many people who tried to use their private numbers in the WhatsApp application found that they were being used by other people.
He added that many of these numbers are sold through a dedicated bot in the Telegram application.
Al-Sufyani stressed that this practice represents a violation of citizens’ privacy, and called on the authorities in Sana’a to take measures to stop it.
