The American command reveals new details regarding the fire of a British ship in the Gulf of Aden

The US Central Command (Centcom) announced that three frigates contributed to putting out the fire on the British ship that was targeted by the Houthis in the Gulf of Aden.
Centcom said in a statement, “On Friday, the Houthis targeted the M/V Marlin Luanda ship, which flies the flag of Marshall Islands, which belongs to Bermuda, with an anti-ship ballistic missile in the Gulf of Aden.”
The statement added, “The Marlin Luanda ship is transporting a shipment of naphtha for commercial use, which is a highly flammable liquid hydrogen mixture.”
The statement indicated that “Following the missile attack on the ship, a major fire broke out in one of the cargo holds, and the destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64), the French naval frigate FS Alsace (D656), and the Indian naval frigate INS Visakhapatnam (DD66) responded quickly.”
The statement continued, “Necessary and important materials were provided to fight fires and assist the civilian crew, whose ability to fight fires was exhausted, as the multinational crew, whose lives the Houthis put in danger, consists of 22 Indians and one Bangladeshi.”
He spoke. The statement said, “Thanks to this quick response by the American, Indian, and French naval forces, the fire has now been extinguished, there were no casualties in the attack, and the ship remains seaworthy, as it has returned to its previous course.”
