Houthi militias announce the targeting of an American warship in the Gulf of Aden

Amid a state of unprecedented tension in the region, the Houthi militias in Yemen announced that they fired a missile at an American warship in the Gulf of Aden.
The military spokesman for the Houthi militia said in a statement on Monday that the Iran-allied group fired a missile at the US Navy ship Lewis B. Buller while sailing through the Gulf of Aden yesterday, Sunday.
He also stressed that they “continue to implement their decision to prevent Israeli navigation or navigation heading to Israeli ports in the Red and Arab Bahrain.”
On December 18, Washington announced the establishment of a multinational naval military alliance, under the name “Guardian of Prosperity,” with the aim of confronting any attacks targeting the safety of international maritime navigation.
This coalition has already carried out several strikes on Houthi military sites in Sanaa, Hodeidah, Taiz, Hajjah, and Saada, since January 12, in which several other countries participated.
