Memories and celebration of figures and media at the headquarters of the Southern Journalists and Media Professionals Syndicate

The headquarters of the Southern Journalists and Media Syndicate gathered an elite group of media personalities and some of the heads of the October 14 newspaper who succeeded in running it to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the newspaper and to commemorate one of its most prominent writers from the first generation, the deceased Muhammad Zein Abdullah Al-Kaf.
Everyone spoke about his experience and his approach to the newspaper and the deceased, after a short speech was delivered by the head of the Southern Journalists and Media Syndicate, Mr. Aidaroos Bahashwan, who welcomed everyone, noting the absence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Editor-in-Chief of the October 14 newspaper, Mr. Muhammad Bashraheel, for his presence outside the country, blaming him completely. The media does not allow its students to attend and benefit from such events that talk about the virtues, conduct and experiences of the figures of the word, crafts and profession, while their presence is heavy in other events. This was followed by a speech by Mr. Abdul Karim Al-Shaabi, Chairman of the Aden Branch Syndicate Council.
The way was then opened to talk about the deceased Al-Kaf, by some of his colleagues, where Mr. Najib Siddiq and Mr. Abdel-Qawi Al-Ashwal spoke about the role of the newspaper and its pioneers in developing journalistic work, including the deceased Muhammad Zein, and their standing alongside young journalists in the past decades. . Regarding the family of the deceased Professor Alawi Al-Kaf, the poet Professor Alawi Al-Kaf gave a brief speech, in which he thanked the Southern Journalists and Media Syndicate for organizing this event. In his speech, he recalled some of the virtues of the deceased Muhammad Zein and some aspects of his biography, concluding with a poem eulogizing the deceased.
The ceremony included a panel discussion about the experiences of some veteran journalist colleagues. The attendees enjoyed their accounts of their experiences and expertise in the field of journalistic work and their pride in the 14th of October newspaper, which is considered a school of journalism, because they were apprenticed to the pioneers of the profession who continued their journalistic work in newspapers and magazines that abounded in It was in Aden from the end of the forties until 1967 AD, after it was closed by the young state and the nascent republic.
The veteran speakers included Ms. Nadra Abdel Quddus, Chairman of the Board of Directors and President of 14 October newspaper (formerly), the distinguished Mr. Naguib Moqbel, Deputy Editor-in-Chief (formerly), the journalist writer Mr. Ahmed Musa’ra, and the researcher Mr. Najmi Abdel Majeed.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Junaid Muhammad Al-Junaid, President of the Union of Southern Writers and Authors, and a group of social figures, writers, intellectuals, and young journalists.
The ceremony was moderated by Mr. Nasr Baghraib, Deputy Secretary-General of the Southern Journalists and Media Professionals Syndicate, who in turn enriched the discussion panel with important information about the deceased Muhammad Zein, examining his principled positions and steadfastness in loving the homeland and not neglecting it.
