World Health: 57% of diseases spread in Yemen are non-communicable

The World Health Organization (WHO) reported that the majority of diseases spreading in Yemen are of non-communicable types and working to manage them is vital to ensuring a healthier future in the country.
The organization said in a tweet on its account on the “X” platform that noncommunicable diseases constitute 57% of the total diseases spread in Yemen, including blood pressure.
The four major noncommunicable diseases include: cardiovascular disease, cancer, chronic respiratory disease, and diabetes.
The World Health Organization stressed that developing efforts and strategies aimed at preventing and managing these diseases is vital for a healthier future in Yemen.
