Abyan.. Details about the martyrdom of the journalist “Al-Abadi” and the survival of leaders, including Abu Mishal, from an elaborate Al-Qaeda ambush

The war photographer, Abdul Karim Al-Abadi, was martyred today, following the explosion of an explosive device planted by members of the terrorist Al-Qaeda organization in Wadi Omran in Abyan Governorate, southern Yemen.
According to media sources, Al-Abadi was accompanying Commander Abu Mishal Al-Kazmi and a military force from Abyan Security, supported by a force from the Sixth Brigade led by Ali Nasser Al-Mukar, on a mission to chase terrorist elements in the region.
While Al-Abadi was leading the military force to document its movements, an explosive device that the terrorists had placed in their path exploded, leading to his immediate martyrdom.
Commander Abu Mishal Al-Kazmi and all members of the force miraculously survived, while some soldiers were slightly injured.
Al-Abadi is considered one of the most prominent war photographers in the south, and he documented many battles against Al-Qaeda and the Houthi militias.
Activists and media professionals mourned Al-Abadi and praised his role in conveying the true picture of what is happening in Abyan.
