Al-Daari discusses with the American Ambassador the latest developments in the situation in Yemen

The Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari, discussed, on Tuesday, the US Ambassador to Yemen, Stephen Feigen, and the US Military Attaché, Stuart Bibles, the latest developments in the Yemeni arena.
The meeting touched on developments in the situation in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, the threat to international shipping routes, and the escalation of the Houthi terrorist militia at all levels.
The Minister of Defense stressed that supporting the legitimate government and its forces on the ground is the best way to restore the state and secure global shipping lanes and routes, pointing to international pressure on the legitimate forces to stop liberating Hodeidah Governorate after it was on the verge of liberating it.
Minister Al-Daari stressed that fighting and eliminating terrorism represented by the Houthi, Al-Qaeda and ISIS terrorist organizations requires the international community to support the efforts of the legitimate government and its armed forces and support them effectively.
For his part, the American ambassador affirmed his country’s support for the legitimate government and cooperation in fighting terrorism.
