The Ministry of Health announced that more than two hundred deaths and fifteen thousand cases of measles were recorded during the recent period, calling for concerted efforts to make the immunization campaign that launches today, Saturday, a success with the support of the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and the Global Vaccine Alliance.
The Minister of Health, Qasim Bahibah, explained that the campaign will last for six days, targeting more than one million two hundred and sixty-seven thousand children from the age of six months to under five years of age in thirteen governorates, with a health staff of about six thousand nine hundred people.< /p>
He reiterated the safety of vaccines, their effectiveness, and their availability in all immunization centers, calling on everyone to feel religious and patriotic duty, to contribute to the success of the campaign, and to vaccinate children against the dangers of measles and rubella.
