Aden.. The Standards and Metrology Authority seizes and destroys products that violate quality

The Standards, Metrology and Quality Control Authority, through its office in the free zone port in the capital, Aden, rejected a quantity of bags of white sugar due to damage to the product as a result of exposure to moisture, and rejected a quantity of a powdered drink product with multiple flavors that violates the standard specifications, as this powder contains artificial sweeteners that are not permitted to be consumed. By the children's segment and therefore it is prohibited to be imported in packages of less than 100 grams to prevent its use by children.
In the same context, the Authority rejected 126 bags of violating dry ginger and 6 bags of violating green beans due to the appearance of fungal molds on the product as a result of its exposure to moisture.
