As part of the humanitarian and charitable efforts of the United Arab Emirates and within the framework of the UAE’s wise leadership’s keenness to support the service sectors in Shabwa Governorate, an agreement was signed yesterday morning, Thursday, 9/21/2023, in the administration of the Education Office in Shabwa Governorate, an agreement for the project to build a “Marra” school. Al Zaid), which is being built with the support of the United Arab Emirates and under the patronage of Sheikh Awad bin Al-Wazir Al-Awlaki, Governor of Shabwa Governorate, and with the funding and supervision of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority.
The signing took place in the presence of Mr. Salem Muhammad Hanash, Director General of the Education Office, and Mr. Muhammad Abdullah Sael, Director of the Education Office in Ataq District, in their capacity as representatives of the local authority in the governorate.
While Mr. Majid bin Saree, Director of the Emirates Red Crescent in Shabwa, attended as a representative of the entity funding and supervising the implementation of the project.
During the signing ceremony, the Director General of the Office of Education, Mr. Salem Muhammad Hanash, praised the humanitarian efforts of the United Arab Emirates in supporting the education sector in the governorate, stressing that this project will contribute to alleviating the suffering of our students who live in those desert areas located on the outskirts of The city of Ataq is the capital of the governorate, especially since those areas suffer from the phenomenon of dropping out of education due to the lack of schools near their areas of residence.
For his part, the Director of the Emirates Red Crescent in Shabwa, Mr. Majid bin Saree, stated that the project comes as an urgent humanitarian response to the appeal launched by the nomadic people of those desert areas, and he explained that the project to build the “Murrah Al Zaid” school with its facilities and provide it with an energy system Shamsia, came after the directives of the UAE’s wise leadership to the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, in response to the people’s call.
I also directed the authority’s leadership to implement the project as quickly as possible, out of concern for the future of our students and to encourage them to continue their educational journey, as well as to alleviate the suffering they endure daily as they receive education in worn-out tents that do not protect them from the heat of summer or the cold of winter.< /p>
