Lahj.. Locust swarms attack the Rakhma Bayafa area
Swarms of locusts attacked the Rakhma Bayafa area in Lahj Governorate, today, Wednesday, and landed on green areas, trees, and agricultural crops.
Local residents said that the locust swarms came from a remote area in Al-Dhalea Governorate, caused great damage to agricultural crops, and ate all the green plants in the area.
The residents added that the local authorities in the area did not move to combat the locust swarms, using insecticides, so the locusts continued their attack.
Residents called on the competent authorities to take urgent measures to combat locust swarms and protect agricultural crops in the region.
