The Houthi militia continues to harass preachers and preachers in Ibb

The Houthi militia (classified on the terrorist list) continues to rob mosques in the Yemeni Ibb Governorate and spread its sectarian ideas, in light of the widespread harassment it practices against preachers and preachers in the various directorates of the governorate.
Local sources said, on Saturday, February 10, 2024, that the Houthi militia seized, on Friday, the “Al-Farouq” Mosque in the Ablan area in the city of Ibb, the capital of the governorate, and appointed a new preacher for the mosque from among its members.
She indicated that the Houthi militia, led by Al-Asri Al-Hamran, who was appointed by the militia as director of its Guidance Office, took complete control of the Al-Farouq Mosque, affiliated with the Salafists, after weeks of harassment against those in charge of it.
The sources pointed out that the militia members expelled the preacher and imam of the mosque and all the individuals in charge of it.
Since its control of Ibb in mid-October 2014, the Houthi militia has deliberately harassed and pursued preachers and preachers, controlling mosques and controlling mosque discourse to serve its ideas and its media and sectarian discourse.
Repeatedly, worshipers leave the mosques to which preachers from the Houthi militia ascend or seize them by force of arms, amid an unprecedented decline in attendance at Friday sermons in various directorates of the governorate, in mosques that were controlled by the militia and are limited to attending Friday prayers, as a result of toxic sectarian rhetoric. Issued from these platforms, which deepens division and tears down the social fabric.
