The US Army announces details of the Houthi attack on a ship heading to Iran

The US Central Command (Centcom) announced on Monday that militants from the Houthi group in Yemen fired two missiles at a ship in the Bab al-Mandab Strait that was on its way to Iran.
Centcom said in a statement on the X platform (formerly Twitter): “The Iranian-backed Houthi militants fired two missiles from the areas they control towards the Star Iris cargo ship in the Bab al-Mandab Strait.”
She added, “The ship is owned by a company in Greece and flies the flag of the Marshall Islands. It was crossing the Red Sea towards the port of Bandar Imam Khomeini in Iran, where it was transporting corn from Brazil.”
She continued, "The ship is seaworthy, with minor damage and no injuries to the crew."
