The Prime Minister issues directives to reduce officials’ salaries

Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak issued directives requiring a reduction in the expenses of state officials..
The directives stipulate the following:
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Given the economic conditions that the country is going through, and the importance of rationalizing the state’s public expenditures, based on Cabinet Resolution No. (88) of 2018 regarding rationalizing expenditures and developing resources attached hereto.
As a first step towards ensuring rationalization of public spending on external participation, a commitment is made
According to the following:
- Assigning our diplomatic missions to represent our country in various external events, provided that the relevant authorities are provided with the procedures and results of participation, and the participation of the ministers is limited to council meetings
The Arab Ministerial Council, and its level, after obtaining prior approval.
The period for which travel allowance is due should not exceed a maximum of five days, and the number of participants should not exceed two people.
- Travel tickets for economy class seats are specified for all job levels in the country.
In cases where necessity requires the direct participation of those concerned in external activities
At the level of Director General and above, prior approval must be obtained from the Prime Minister, and the same applies to them
