Human rights violations in Marib

The National Committee to Investigate Allegations of Human Rights Violations heard, today, Thursday, in its office in Ma’rib Governorate, live testimonies from victims who were subjected to various types of human rights violations as a result of the armed conflict in Yemen.
A member of the National Committee, Dr. Muhammad Talian, explained that the session comes within the investigation mechanisms followed by the committee, with the aim of listening to the voices of victims and eyewitnesses, finding out the truth about the violations they experienced, and the physical, health and psychological effects resulting from the violations they were exposed to and witnessed, and supporting the investigation evidence. Through various living testimonies.
At the hearing, victims who were subjected to serious violations during the year 2023 provided testimonies about their harsh suffering that led to the violation of their right to physical and psychological integrity, the right to dignity and work, and details of torture, fear, loss of safety, lack of access to medicine and food, and deprivation from practicing their work.
