Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said that his country is keen on the security of Yemen and pushing for a political solution to the crisis.
Bin Farhan stressed - in Saudi Arabia’s speech before the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly - his country’s support for international efforts to find a solution to the Yemeni crisis.
Last week, a delegation from the Houthi group left the capital, Riyadh, after five-day talks with Saudi officials accompanied by the Omani mediator, following an official invitation sent by the Kingdom in order to complete the peace process efforts in Yemen.
Regional and international efforts have been intensifying for some time to find a comprehensive political solution to the crisis in Yemen, which included visits by Saudi and Omani delegations to Sana’a, and Gulf tours by the American envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, and the UN, Hans Grundberg.
