The National Center of Meteorology warned of rain of varying intensity in a number of governorates, and hot to very hot weather in the deserts and coasts during the coming hours.
In its daily bulletin, the Center warned citizens against being in valleys and flood paths, against thunderstorms and mobile phones, and against low horizontal visibility during rainfall.
Rain of varying intensity was expected, some of which were heavy, accompanied by thunderstorms, on the Tihama Plain and the highlands adjacent to it, the western coasts and parts of Lahj, Al-Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, Al-Mahwit, and Hajjah.
As the center expected, light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder at times, would fall in parts of Al-Mahra, Hadramaut, Shabwa, Abyan, Al-Bayda, Sana’a, Amran, Saada, and the eastern and southern coasts.
He urged against direct exposure to sunlight for a long period in deserts, inland plateaus, and coastal areas and plains.
He also warned fishermen, ship captains, and seafarers of sea turbulence and high waves around the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, the southern and eastern coasts, and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.
