An upcoming campaign to cut off dual power supply and for major defaulters to pay electricity bills in Aden

A joint meeting was held for the General Corporation for Aden Electricity and the Security Belt, headed by the Director General, Salem Al-Walidi, and the Commander of the Security Belt, Brigadier General Jalal Al-Rubaie, to supervise the final preparations for launching the campaign to disconnect the dual electricity connection “two lines”, as well as the major subscribers who are behind in paying their monthly consumption bills. .
The meeting, which was attended by a number of department directors at Aden Electricity, also touched on developing the final plan to launch the campaign, the mechanism used in its implementation, and reviewing the readiness of the technical teams assigned to participate in the campaign under the protection of the Security Belt forces.
The leadership of the Aden General Electricity Corporation explained that the launch of the campaign comes in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Electricity and Energy, Engineer Mani bin Yameen, and the Minister of State, Governor of the Capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, in order to reduce the loss of electrical current and avoid recurring problems of burning transformers and damage to transmission lines as a result of double connection. “Two Lines”, noting that whoever works to restore the double connection after being disconnected will be held accountable and placed in prison for violating the public electricity network.
The leadership of Aden Electricity stressed to major subscribers the need to expedite the payment of monthly consumption bills, in order to avoid disconnecting the power from them and incurring the applicable legal fines in the event of failure to pay, stressing that it will not hesitate to collect electricity consumption bills in order to fulfill its obligations and duties.
A month ago, the General Electricity Corporation of Aden had issued a warning announcement to major subscribers who were unable to pay their consumption bills, urging them to expedite and pay their debts to the corporation before the electricity was cut off from their facility.
