In a terrorist attack, 4 soldiers from the Shabwa Defense Forces were killed, and 3 others were injured in an explosion that targeted a car in the “Al-Musaina” area. Military sources reported today (Sunday) that an explosive device targeted a military ambulance carrying soldiers from the Shabwa Defense Forces, in the town of Al-Musaina in the Upper Egypt District, killing 4 soldiers and wounding 3 others.
A video clip circulated by activists on social media showed the car flying as smoke rose to the sky following the explosion that targeted the military ambulance.
A security source accused the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda of being behind this criminal operation, stressing that the successive strikes the organization received prompted it to carry out retaliatory strikes against the Shabwa Defense Forces.
The Shabwa Defense Forces - First Brigade, in a statement today, mourned the four soldiers who were killed in a terrorist attack that left an explosive device targeting an ambulance in the Al-Musaina area in the Upper Egypt District. They are: Abdullah Saeed Saleh Al-Buraiki, Asaad Ahmed Abdullah Saleh, Saleh Mahdi Saleh Al-Shaqaa, And Salem Muhammad Ahmed Ali Al-Nasi. She stressed in her statement that such cowardly terrorist crimes only increase the strength, resilience and determination of the heroes of the Shabwa Defense Forces to defeat the remnants of terrorism. She stressed that the blood of the martyrs and the sacrifices will not be in vain, and we are on their path to continue until the soil of Shabwa Governorate is cleansed of extremist criminal elements, and its security, stability, and the tranquility of its people are preserved.
