A malfunction stops water supply in the Bir Ahmed field in Aden

The local water and sanitation corporation in the capital, Aden, said today that its maintenance teams are currently working to repair the electrical power system in the field, which has caused the suspension of water supply from the field.
The Deputy Director of the Corporation, Engineer Bilal Al-Shaabi, explained that the malfunction resulted from extreme humidity, which led to an electrical short circuit in the system, causing it to stop working.
Al-Shaabi confirmed that the corporation’s teams are making great efforts to repair the fault and restart the system as soon as possible, noting that work is underway around the clock to ensure the return of water to all citizens in Aden.
