The police of the Tarim Directorate in Hadhramout Al-Wadi and Al-Sahara Governorate arrested an accused in electronic blackmail cases after careful follow-up and monitoring that lasted for days.

The police indicated that the accused (Y, Y, S, A), 30 years old, from the Hodeidah Governorate, is carrying out electronic blackmail by hacking and creating fake numbers and sending fake electronic links by publishing advertisements that interest women through social networking applications for women’s groups.< /p>

The police confirmed that the perpetrator withdraws pictures and clips from the victim’s mobile phone after accessing the links, thus blackmailing and exploiting the victim financially, morally, and emotionally.

 The perpetrator confessed to the incident of hacking women’s mobile phones and was placed in prison to complete the legal procedures. The police call on all citizens to quickly report them as soon as they are exposed to electronic blackmail in order to quickly pursue and arrest the extortionists.
