The Director General of Khormaksar Directorate, Awas Al-Zuhri, inspected, on Sunday morning, the progress of the emergency national campaign to vaccinate children against measles and rubella in the directorate.
Al-Zuhri met at the health complex in Khor Maksar with fixed and itinerant health teams and health education teams, distributed throughout the district to vaccinate children from 6 months to 5 years.
The Director General of Khormaksar Directorate stressed the facilitation of the work of the field teams, directing the Directorate’s Health Office to provide all capabilities for the successful conduct of the campaign as required.
The campaign, implemented by the Ministry of Public Health and Population, with support from the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and the Global Vaccine Alliance (GAVI), will continue for six days.
The director of the health and population office in the district, Jihad Sultan, accompanied the campaign.
