Violent clashes between the Houthis and tribal militants in Al-Jawf, killing and wounding citizens

A citizen was killed and another injured following clashes between the Houthi militia and tribal militants in Al-Jawf Governorate (northeastern Yemen)
Local sources said that clashes broke out between gunmen from the “Al Saqra Al Sholan” tribe and gunmen from the “Al Jahwaan” tribe affiliated with the Houthi militia, which attempted to seize lands belonging to the tribe. The sources added that the citizen was “Muhammad Hamad bin Saqra.” He was killed by Houthi bullets, while Abd al-Razzaq Muhammad al-Ashwal was wounded.
The sources indicated that the Houthi militia is behind the fueling of tribal conflicts in the governorate, and is supporting some tribes with weapons and money to confront the tribes opposing them. The sources stated that the Houthis are also using fighters loyal to them in civilian clothing to participate in the clashes.
The clashes came days after similar confrontations broke out in Al-Marashi District, between the “Marana and Sholan” tribes, against the backdrop of land disputes.
