A citizen was killed inside his home in front of his wife and children, in Sufyan District, Amran Governorate (northern Yemen), against the backdrop of a tribal revenge case.

Local sources said that the citizen, Bashir Saleh Daghsher Matar, was killed on Friday, inside his home, in front of his wife and children, by bullets from a tribal gunman, in a previous case of revenge between them.

The sources added that the revenge case was in which a tribal ruling had been issued requiring blood money to be paid by “Bashir Matar” after he killed another citizen from “Dhumatar” in Sufyan District.

Murder crimes have escalated in Amran Governorate recently, in light of security chaos fueled by the Houthi militia.

The crime came about two months after the killing of Sheikh Mohsen Hassan Naji Al-Thumhami by Houthi militia bullets, and the wounding of his son Yahya (12 years old) and his nephew, during the besiegement of his house by a Houthi campaign consisting of several crews led by the designated “Abu Mustafa Muhammad Sharian.” By the Houthi militias as director of Harf Sufyan District.
