Aden.. workers escalation to structure wages

This morning, the General Federation of Southern Trade Unions organized a press conference to extract workers’ rights and work on structuring wages under the slogan (Either a life that pleases a friend... or a death that enrages enemies).
Speaking at the press conference were the President of the Federation of Southern Trade Unions, Sami Khairan, Thabet Yahya, Vice President of the Federation and President of the Sanitation Workers Union, Dr. Fadel Makwa, President of the Aden University Union, and Qaed Al-Jaadi, member of the Federation of Southern Trade Unions.
Everyone stressed the importance of the government implementing its previous commitments to improve the conditions of workers.
It was issued by the press conference of the Executive Office of the Southern Federation of Trade Unions, which was followed by Abdul Rahman Al-Shaer
It stated the following:
Calling all workers and employees to escalate the protests and mobilize in front of the Al-Maasheq Gate to impose the will of the workers and the public, and to continue the escalation actions until the just demands of the trade unions are met, represented by the following:
Obligating the government to pay salaries immediately and regularly at the end of each month, obligating the government to pay bonuses and settlements, and retroactively, restarting the Aden Refinery, restoring navigational traffic to the Port of Aden, forming a joint committee to prepare the wage structure, and obliging the government to disburse an additional (100,000) riyals. Above every salary and for every employee and worker, file an urgent lawsuit to defend the rights of workers and employees. The government must work to improve services, install contractors and resolve the issue of retirees.,
The statement also called for canceling the law granting holders of senior positions immunity from legal accountability, canceling the increase in customs tariffs, subsidizing essential food commodities, and providing health insurance.
