A security leader in Aden survived, this Sunday evening, an assassination attempt, following the detonation of an explosive device that targeted his car in the temporary capital.

A security source said that the explosion, which was heard in Dar Saad and parts of Sheikh Othman, resulted from the detonation of an explosive device at the Al-Kamsari amusement park intersection, targeting Commander Abu Nasser Arkan, Director of the Basateen Police, Musleh Al-Dharhani.

The source explained that the device was planted 20 meters from the car, and did not result in any casualties.

It is worth noting that Musleh Al-Dharhani is one of the prominent security leaders in Aden. He contributed greatly to the stability of the city after its liberation from the Houthis in 2015, and he and his assistants remained vulnerable to terrorist bombings.
