Aden receives energy drainage equipment for the 120 MW solar power station

The Minister of State and Governor of the capital, Aden, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, along with the Minister of Electricity and Energy, Eng. Mana Bin Yameen, received today, Wednesday, the energy drainage equipment and components for the 120 megawatt solar power station provided by the sisterly United Arab Emirates.
During the reception, which was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Gulf of Aden Ports, Dr. Muhammad Amzarabah, the Director General of the General Electricity Corporation, Engineer Mujib Al-Shaabi, and the Director General of the Aden Electricity Corporation, Salem Al-Walidi, the Minister of State and Governor of the capital, Aden, expressed his happiness at the arrival of equipment for the final stage of the station. Solar energy, which is the first strategic and qualitative project in our country for clean energy, is on the path to complete transformation to reliance on alternative and clean energy, stressing the necessity of raising the pace of work, completing all equipment, and beginning the gradual entry of the station into the electricity system of the capital, Aden, during the coming period.
At the end of his speech, Lamlas appreciated the support of the brothers in the United Arab Emirates for the capital, Aden, and our country in general in various fields and sectors.
For his part, the Minister of Electricity and Energy, Eng. Manea bin Yameen, said: “Today we are at a historic moment with the delivery of the last components of the solar energy station provided by the brothers in the UAE to the capital, Aden.”
The Minister of Electricity confirmed, “The work to complete the station is progressing in full swing, and during the next short period we will witness the operation of the first strategic project for alternative and clean energy.”
Bin Yammine thanked the UAE for this generous support for the electricity sector, which responds to our country’s needs at the present time.
