Bin Mubarak chairs the first meeting of the Electricity Fuel Purchase Tender Committee

The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Dr. Ahmed #Ben_Mubarak, chaired today, Wednesday, in the temporary capital, Aden, the first meeting of the tender committee for purchasing fuel for power generation plants.
The meeting reviewed the mechanisms for the committee to carry out its tasks in accordance with the decision to form it, and the role required of the relevant ministries and authorities to facilitate its work, in a way that achieves the principle of transparency and efficiency of procedures, and overcomes any previous problems regarding supplying electricity generation stations with fuel.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed the government’s support for the committee and its support in carrying out its tasks and adhering to the highest standards of transparency and accountability in all tendering procedures, in accordance with the decision to form it. He directed the relevant ministries and authorities to cooperate with the committee to facilitate its tasks and create a true partnership with the private sector within the framework of Integrated responsibility in this exceptional circumstance.
Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak revealed that the government is proceeding with the procedures for forming the Supreme Committee for Tenders in accordance with the directives of His Excellency the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, pointing out that the measure of the government’s seriousness in public opinion is its commitment to the legal path, especially in tenders.< /p>
The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the tasks assigned to the committee with regard to examining fuel safety and pursuing long-term planning to provide fuel at appropriate and competitive prices.
In turn, the Chairman and members of the committee expressed their thanks for the trust placed in them to bear this grave responsibility... pledging to implement the directives of the Prime Minister to adhere to transparency in all tendering procedures.
The meeting was attended by the Ministers of Finance, Salem Bin Brik, Minister of Electricity, Manea Bin Yameen, Oil and Minerals, Saeed Al-Shammasi, and the Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, Engineer Anis Baharitha.
